Future work 

One of the most exciting components of this solar lamp is the solar charge controller. This project delves deeper into its circuit and working. However, it does not explore some parts such as how the solar charge controller diverts power to an electric load, how it detects abience or how it turns automatically on/off at the desired time interval. These functions require designing an ever more complex circuit system, which I currently can not understand due to my limited experience with electronics. Once I develop a deeper understanding of the subject and have more time on my hands, I plan on returning to this project and developing a fully functional solar charge controller with all the necessary features. I plan to do this future work after my IBDP exams or during my first year of college.
